His Math Lesson

As I went around the table checking everyone’s bookwork this morning, I saw this. I know I’m his favorite adult in the house right now, soon it will be his daddy, then it may be his bigger brothers someday. And I find this so endearing. 

I cannot imagine my life in any other environment but being available to them each morning devouring good learning material together. 

For the past almost 30 years of mothering, it has been a journey of faith failing forward, picking myself back up on hard days, rejoicing on the good days, and finding it amazing that God loves all eleven of them more than Jason or I ever could. 

I stand grateful for all that He has provided us so that I am able to be at home for their needs. 

If you are a mom desiring to be at home for your family, pray. Pray that God would see it fit to provide enough for your family’s needs. There is no better calling than to be your child’s teacher.
