Let no one suppose that friendships within the home can be won and kept in any other way but by being selfless. We must prove ourselves worthy, show ourselves thoughtful, possessing tenderness, and being generous with our time.

We must treasure each other by showing unconditional love, and always careful never to do anything that would damage the heart of another.

We cultivate those relationships by watching for opportunities to show kindness.

This is not instinctual.

If we want relationships to blossom, if we want to win the heart of another, we give without having any motive, or personal gain.

We watch our words.
We practice self-control.
We never wound, rather purpose to heal.

We cultivate in our own hearts and lives the things that are lovely, holy, and of good report.

Only then will we be able to knit one heart to another.
