Jason and I had the privilege meeting weekly with these two for premarital counseling this summer.

Counseling doesn’t have to be a negative thing.  It can be a good work that God starts in us and He promises to see us through if we place Christ at the center of our relationships.

C.T. Studd said, “Marriage can either be a great blessing or a great curse, depending on where you place the Cross.”

There is wisdom in a multitude of counselors and I praised these two for seeking out wisdom from others.  We can’t know how to be a good spouse if we have not gleaned from others who have gone before us.  There is so much to learn.

There are no perfect marriages.  God’s design for marriages is for our sanctification, and we are to bring glory to God through this process with each other.  Bottom line- it’s a gospel message.

So don’t be afraid to glean from a multitude of counselors. Your investment in each other is worth it!
