Life can throw some curve balls at times and can feel like you’re living in a whirlwind of emotions during the hard.  Anytime there is a difficult decision to make, something we encountered that was not in the plans, or a life-changing event happens, it can all feel overwhelming.

It’s easy to point the finger, sit and complain about it, and listen to bad counsel.

When we examine the life of Job, his response to crisis was one of patience and one of faith.

When we read in chapter 2, we can see that he refused to blame God for his temporary problems.  He accepted God’s will (as painful as that probably was) and was steadfast in his faith.

Yes, his wife tempted him, but Job was patient and waited for God to respond.

Everyone experiences storms in their marriage.

Those experiences can either divide us, or we can allow them to strengthen us.
Here Are 7 Practical Truths That Have Helped Our Marriage Weather The Storms:

1. Just as Job did, stay faithful in your walk with the Lord.

2. Spot the lies, so you can see the Truth.

3.  Self-examining: evaluate the role you play

4. Do not make life-altering decisions when a storm hits.

5. Be merciful with one another.

6. Seek wise counsel that is biblically sound and one that is trustworthy.

7. Pray, fast, and quietly wait on God together for clear direction.

We don’t always understand the reasons why difficult seasons happen, but we trust that He knows the purpose of them better than we do.
