He doesn’t have to be good to us, but He is.

He didn’t have to be merciful with me today, but He was.

He didn’t have to give me grace when I least deserved it, but He did anyway.

He didn’t have to allow that difficult situation, but He did because He knew I would search for Truth.

He could have placed me in a life full of wealth so that things would come easy, but He didn’t because He knew that hard work builds character.

He could have allowed me to become bitter, but He has kept me tender to those hurts that sometimes get overlooked.

He allows me to stay humble when life doesn’t go the way I think it should.

He has placed a high standard on purity in my thought-life, and has saved me from much destruction.

For I desire peace so much, that walking away from hatred seems like a plan.

He doesn’t always keep me from my choices, but He picks me up after I realize Who was right all along.

And when the day is wrapping up and the sun starts to set, I ponder on the goodness of God in my life.  All I have to do is stop and take a look around.  He is everywhere.

He is in the way I create a life.  He is in my thoughts.  He is in the tiniest of detail.

Regardless of my struggles, no matter what difficulties come my way, He has always been faithful.

I’m so thankful He never changes when the seasons of life are ever-changing.
