A few of our girls flew out early this morning.

They are leaving home for the first time together on a mission’s trip.

My mama’s heart skipped a beat when I watched them disappear into the clouds.  They’re on American Airlines and we are praying for their safety.

President Trump was sworn in for the second time on Monday, and just days later, an American Airline commercial jet exploded in mid-air as they were landing at Ronald Reagan airport in D.C.  They collided with a military helicopter doing routine flights.

Days later, a second plane from another airline crashed.

We pray for the comfort to all of the families whom have been affected by these tragedies.

I cannot imagine.

Parenting with an open hand is never a comfortable place to be, and it certainly doesn’t get any easier watching your kids leave the safety net of home.

We pray they are well taken care of while they are gone, and if tragedy strikes, I know God has them both exactly where He wants them to be.

I trust His leading in their lives, and in mine.

Thank you, Lord, for teaching me the freedom to let go and let YOU do what is best. For you are good in all circumstances.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:26-28

Walking in faith,
