my little light

She is usually the first one out of bed, tiptoeing into my room to bring me a book to read to her.

We always sit in an oversized chair in the corner of the room snuggled under a cozy blanket, and read by the window.

We typically have the same conversation about what our day holds, what we will have for breakfast, and she tries to articulate something she learned from the day before.

Every single day I learn more about the meaning of life through the eyes of this little girl.

morning reading

She is a little light even when the sun doesn’t shine.

She constantly reminds me what is important and to never take for granted the life we are given.

I’m thankful God decided to create such fantastic little people.

My prayer is that she will grow to be a woman who treasures the things of God, and desires to have a deeper walk with her Lord.

May her light shine bright.

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.  Matthew 5:14-16
