the Sunday morning hustle
As we flew out the door for church this morning, bundled in our coats and gloves, I am constantly reminded to enjoy the process of learning how to make this part of our lives smoother, better, and more efficient.

It’s never as easy as 1,2,3 say cheeeesey smile for the camera.  It is a whole lot of: where’s my shoe, I can’t find my comb, I’m hungry, I forgot to brush my teeth… all while you are about to walk out the door.

I heard a pastor say one time that Sunday morning is the most unholy hour of the week.

Most of us can relate.
God knows none of us are perfect, but I honestly can’t think of anything that brings me more joy than the people God has placed in my life.

Parenting is no walk in the park, and it is a lot of hard work.  But I can positively say it is full of rich blessings that you can’t buy anywhere else.

For anything that is hard, bathing myself in prayer is often the answer.  It is where I find my strength.

Tonight, I’m going to rest and rejuvenate with my family.  Long talks, snuggled up reading good books, and loving them well is my heartbeat.

Motherhood is a journey God has me on and it is a privilege to be entrusted with these hearts.  Lord, may I never forget that.

Parents, pray fervently over all who dwell in your home.  If we don’t, who will?
