We spent some time with our good friend, Mr. Bill, this week. We sang several of his favorite hymns, and I could see his lips move with the words. We talked a good long while. He had encouraging words to our kids, and in his last hour, he was ready to go home to be with the Lord.

“Jason, you can’t come with me right now, for you still have work here to do, but I will see you later.”

Tears streaming down our kids’ face, and mine.

As a middle-aged man, Mr. Bill wept over his transgressions, and he humbled himself before God, and those whom he had wronged. He faithfully surrendered the rest of His days to following Jesus.

He had his mind until the very end, and we will miss him greatly. His testimony is redemptive, and his story has been used to help so many hurting people. We are blessed to have been a small portion of his long life.

Surely, Mr. Bill heard, “Well done thy good and faithful servant.

Friends, life is short. Death is certain. And no one is out of reach from God’s redemptive hands… no matter how difficult your life has been, no matter what you have done. Repent and turn away from evil and wicked ways

Jesus is the ONLY way to heaven.
